The Company

Our client, a leading organization in the insurance industry, is seeking a Finance Systems Accountant to support their regional operations. This pivotal role involves implementing projects, providing system support, and driving enhancements to improve processes across the Asia Pacific region. The ideal candidate will be the go-to expert for finance systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the operational needs of the business are met effectively.

The Role

  • Configure, implement, and customize financial systems while managing integrations with other applications.
  • Design and execute system configuration, reporting, and process enhancements aligned with business needs.
  • Leverage BI tools, SQL, VBA, and macros to support data analysis and process improvements.
  • Evaluate and test system releases to ensure integrity and functionality of financial data.
  • Act as the primary contact for troubleshooting complex system issues and inquiries.
  • Develop user documentation and provide training on system features and functionality.
  • Drive implementation of automation tools and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Support regional finance projects by collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure systems and processes comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in financial services or the insurance industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial system concepts, SQL, MS Access, Excel (including VBA programming and macros), and BI tools like Alteryx.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft/Oracle modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing) is an advantage.
  • Proven experience with process automation and system enhancement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process optimization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
