Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join the Core Banking IT team and work on projects for the development and maintenance of Back Office systems within a renowned bank.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Must have 7 years of experience with banking IT systems, focusing on Core Banking and Payment Systems;
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of ISO20022, SWIFT, SEPA, and full payment lifecycle including handling of R-messages;
  • Must have hands-on experience with Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement systems;
  • Strong background in Functional & System Integration Testing, UAT, and familiarity with SDLC and STLC;
  • Proven experience working in Agile-Scrum environments, including sprint planning and story refinement;
  • Skilled in breaking down Epics and Functional Specs into user stories with proper linkage and traceability;
  • Familiar with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and writing test cases in Gherkin format;
  • Skilled in breaking down complex changes with strong analytical and communication abilities; experienced in cross-functional, global teams.

Desired Skill-set

  • Exposure to Corporate Banking, Real-Time Payments, Payment Hubs, Cash & Liquidity Management, AML, FX, and SWIFT/ISO messaging;

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and map business and functional requirements for international Cash Management systems;
  • Design test scenarios, execute testing and manage defect triage;
  • Engage stakeholders across Front-to-Back functions; drive requirement gathering and solution design;
  • Evaluate solution options, define viable designs, and guide implementation;
  • Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and interface teams to ensure successful delivery;
  • Coordinate with user groups and manage interface services integration;
  • Prepare and maintain requirement documents, specifications, and QA deliverables;
  • Provide functional guidance to teams and assist in resolving technical and business queries;
  • Assess change impact and manage risks, timelines, and stakeholder expectations;
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements and ensure alignment with business strategy.
