
System Analyst

• The job holder is attached to the System Analysis unit under the Application team and reports to the head of section.
• The System Analyst will focus on translating defined requirements into system setups, maintaining product definitions, and ensuring accurate data integration across platforms. The position is responsible for preparation of test scenarios and integrated testing, planning, managing assigned projects or enhancements' timeline and vendor management.
Product & Data Configuration:
• Configure insurance products, rules, and rating structures within internal systems or platforms.
• Set up data parameters, reference tables, and system values in alignment with predefined requirements.
System Analysis & Support:
• Analyze system behavior, data structures, and backend processes to support insurance product implementation.
• Identify and troubleshoot configuration or data-related issues in systems.
Documentation & Specification:
• Maintain documentation of product setup, data mappings, and system configuration.
• Translate functional requirements provided by Business Analysts or Product Owners and convert them into technical specifications.
Testing & Validation:
• Participate in system testing, including regression and integration tests, to ensure accurate configuration.
• Validate product logic and data output according to specifications. Collaboration (Internal):
• Work with internal teams such as QA, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers.
• Collaborate on system releases, updates, and product rollout schedules.
Data Integrity & Quality Control:
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in product setup and data configurations.
• Run queries or reports to verify data completeness and correctness. Innovation:
• Check problems in existing systems or processes.
• Raise data extraction requests in order to identify possible causes of the issues.
• Work with system team to produce Issue Analysis report to users and software and to recommend solutions, where applicable.
Knowledge:
• Apply broad knowledge of one job area or broad knowledge of several related job areas.
• Apply business and system knowledge.
• Domain specialist in the respective support areas, e.g. Processing, Claims, Insurance, Finance, etc.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
• The information management department is responsible for the management of computer information systems, including development, operations, support and expanding the use of information technology. These encompass all applications to support the business, Intranet portal and the local/wide area network.
• The job holder is supervised by the head of section.
• The job holder is expected to be proactive in communication, keen to learn new technology, willing to share new findings, open suggestions with the team and others.
COMPETENCIES:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a System Analyst or in a technical insurance support role.
Insurance & Product Knowledge:
• Understanding of insurance products, policy administration, or rating engines (Life, Health, P&C)
• Experience in insurance domain or financial related industrial is preferred
Technical & Analytical Skills:
• Proficient in reading and understanding XML/JSON, SQL, Excel, and data dictionaries.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with structured data and rules-based logic.
Documentation & Process:
• Ability to interpret specifications and create system documentation.
• Familiar with version control and change management practices.
Communication & Collaboration:
• Effective written communication skills for documentation and email-based coordination.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Tools & Platforms:
• Experience with configuration tools, admin portals, or back-end insurance systems.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira), test case documentation, or QA collaboration.
