Roles & Responsibilities

Position Overview:

As part of the Vorwerk Malaysia & Singapore organization, the Marketing Specialist supports all marketing project management and activities across the organization. The candidate will develop messaging, content and creative support that promotes and elevates the brand and products in campaigns, websites, social medial and other channels as identified. He/she will also provide daily support though the coordination of special events. The candidate must possess an eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities as opportunities are identified. In addition, the Marketing Specialist will collaborate with other marketing team members and other internal functions (eg. Sales, Operations, Retail) to develop relevant creative content to drive successful business results.

Main Responsibilities:

A Marketing Specialist should be able to fulfill various duties and responsibilities. The following are some duties and responsibilities a Marketing Specialist should be able to execute:

  • Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data.
  • Liaise with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials and advertising copies.
  • Discover effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay product messages to customers.
  • Investigate the performance of a company's marketing campaigns and strategies through evaluating key performance metrics.
  • Create innovative marketing campaigns depending on robust data and present the recommendations to management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients through networking and prospecting.
  • Create goals and objectives to approach customers through appropriate marketing channels.
  • Help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization and content development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field or 3-5 years of marketing experience with social media experience as a plus
  • You are proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as have savvy computer skills
  • You are a strong in communication skills both oral and written as well as strong in organization skills
  • You are commercially savvy with a creative mindset.
  • You are customer service oriented and believe customer is number one priority
  • You understand the need to be flexible and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • You are able to demonstrate your experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • You have a thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/social media etc.) and market research methods
