Responsibilities:
Provide therapy and care support to members at therapy service and centre-based activities.
Clinical duties:
1. Assist therapists or associates during assessments and therapy interventions.
2. Conduct basic routine therapy activities for individuals or groups, as planned by therapists or associates.
3. Responsible for preparing materials and equipment before and after each therapy session, e.g. sanitisation, set-up and safe-keeping.
4. Perform and record vital signs and BP taking according to stipulated timing.
5. Attend to members in transferring, toileting and mealtime.
6. Work with inter-departments staff in meeting the needs of the respective members.
Program duties:
7. Logistics set-up of activity rooms as well as materials to ensure a clean, hygienic & safe environment
8. Ensure equipment are clean, well-maintained and properly handled.
9. Maintain infection control procedures
10. Provide support during emergencies and incidences
11. Handle inventories of equipment and supplies
12. Perform basic admin tasks as required, e.g. attendance, documentation and reports.
Technical Competencies:
· Possess a Certificate in Therapy Support or NITEC in Community Care & Social Services or
O Levels or equivalent.
· Experience in community care setting is an advantage.
· Able to handle physical lifting and transferring of heavy persons.
· Familiar with MS Office (word and excel) is an advantage.
· Able to prepare simple reports.
Core Competencies:
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Good bedside manners.
· Good in teamwork, multi-task and time management.
· Passion in caring for persons with severe physical limitations.
· Fast learner and able to work independently.
· English and Mandarin speaking to interact with patients.
Preferred achievements/characteristics:
· Experience working in community care or home-care setting.
· Experience in taking care of people with physical disabilities is an advantage.
· Ability in handling lifting and transferring.
Location: Central (Island wide for Home-Help Service)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday (9am to 6pm) & one Saturday (half day) per month
No shift work required.
Salary: S$1,600 - $2,200 per month (Full-Time)
Annual Leave: 14 days per year (Full-time)
Medical & Dental Fees: S$500 per annum (Full-time).
