Roles & Responsibilities

To provide support in food and hygiene of the Childcare Centre to meet daily operational needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:


• To sit down with the Principal to discuss yearly menus.

• Prepare meals that meet the proper nutritional requirement in accordance with Child Care menus and food policies (HMPP): Breakfast, Lunch and Tea Break.

• Take note of those children who have special dietary requirements or allergies and prepare suitable alternatives.

• Should there be any deviations in the menu, please record it down in the Menu Deviation book.

• To ensure that food is stored and handled properly for the Centre.

• To ensure expiry dates are checked on a weekly basis and removed immediately if found expired.

• To ensure all kitchen equipment / utensils should be sanitized before and after usage.

• To ensure all kitchen equipment / utensils are all labelled and placed in the right place.

• To ensure keeping the kitchen area is clean at all time.

• To ensure all serving trolleys and containers are cleaned on a regular basis.

• To ensure adequate cleaning supplies in the kitchen.

• To keep logs to track the cleaning duties.

• To check the balance of groceries that is needed and purchase them accordingly.

• To ensure that the Groceries are purchased as per the allocated budget given by the Management.

• To check the groceries condition when it reaches the Centre. Ensure that all items are in good condition and ensure that all groceries ordered have arrived. If not, report to the Centre admin/principal.

• To report any workplace accidents / hazards to the Principal.

• To report to the Principal and Centre Admin if there is any fault in any of the kitchen appliances.

• To take over the cleaner's duties when the cleaner is absent.

• 确保定期清洁所有服务手推车和容器。


• 确保厨房内有足够的清洁用品。


• 保存日志以跟踪清洁职责。


• 检查所需杂货的余额并相应购买。


• 确保按照管理层分配的预算购买杂货。


• 杂货到达中心后检查杂货状况。确保所有物品状况良好,并确保订购的所有杂货均已到达。如果没有,请向中心管理员/校长报告。


• 向校长报告任何工作场所事故/危险。


• 如果任何厨房用具出现任何故障,请向校长和中心管理员报告。


• 当清洁工不在时,接替清洁工的职责。

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hardworking and Meticulous.
  • A team player.
  • Able to follow recipes and cook healthy meals.
  • Ensure hygiene of the environment.
  • Certificate in Food & Hygiene is an advantage.
  • Required to attend culinary training workshop.
  • Willing to work in Bedok North.
