Roles & Responsibilities

An after-sales service technician for mobile phones diagnoses, repairs, and maintains mobile devices, performing hardware replacements like screens and batteries, software troubleshooting and installations, and advising customers on repair processes and timelines. Key responsibilities include customer service, record-keeping, and maintaining a clean workspace, while required skills often include diagnosing hardware/software issues, component replacement, and a strong understanding of Android and iOS devices.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot:Perform diagnostic tests to identify hardware and software issues on various mobile phone models.
  • Perform repairs:Execute repairs such as screen and battery replacements, and other hardware component swaps.
  • Software support:Troubleshoot software issues, perform system resets, data backups, and OS installations.
  • Provide customer service:Advise customers on repair options, repair process, service timelines, and maintain a high standard of service.
  • Record keeping:Maintain accurate records of repairs, service history, and inventory to support operational efficiency.
  • Maintain workspace:Keep a clean, organized, and functional repair workstation.
  • Stay updated:Continuously learn about new mobile technologies, repair techniques, and troubleshooting methods.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical proficiency: Skilled in hardware and software troubleshooting for both Android and iOS devices.
  • Component handling: Proficient in handling common repairs like screen, battery, and charging port replacements.
  • Customer service: Possess good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently and adapt to changing technologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Often requires at least a technical diploma or equivalent in electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Experience: Prior hands-on experience in mobile phone repair is typically required.
