Our client, an educational institute is currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join them as an Architectural Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in campus space planning and campus development, including conducting feasibility studies, design review, regulatory compliance and quality assurance
  • Review, evaluate and advise on the designs, drawings and proposals from consultants and contractors to meet the project requirements and required quality and regulatory compliances within the budget
  • Develop the Safety requirements, aspects and good practices which should be incorporated into the architectural design of the new campus. These requirements shall be conveyed to the consultants and contractors, and documented to ensure compliance and implementation in the construction works
  • Ensure that the safety review process is properly implemented throughout every phase of the development project in accordance with the WSH Regulations
  • Work closely with the Project Team and all relevant stakeholders to ascertain that meetings/workshops are conducted timely
  • Review and ensure that the design risk assessments by the designers/stakeholders and checklists and risk registers documented are properly maintained and handed over to the maintenance team
  • Attend consultant, site and safety meetings with the Project Team and conduct site/audit inspections to ensure construction safety is maintained and compliant in accordance with the WSH regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture/Built Environment or related from a recognised University
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the building/construction industry as Project Manager preferably in public/developer organisations or consulting firms
  • Knowledgeable with localbWorkplace Safety and Health regulations, WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations, and practices
  • Experienced with planning, design and implementation of large-scale development projects
  • Certified Design for Safety Professional is an added advantage
  • Working experience and knowledge of Government policies, functions and requirements of Key Agencies and the regulatory framework for development projects
