Responsibilities:
  • Develop / Support the development and review of HSSEDesign Philosophy, and other process safety-related philosophies.Provide guidance to the proposal / project for compliance tocompany standards, client and regulatory requirements ofsafetyrelated systems.
  • Develop / Support thedevelopment of scope of work, perform safety consultant technicalbid evaluation, participate in workshops, plan, review and deliversafety studies / deliverables. Deliver complete, correct, andon-time safety studies and deliverables to the proposal / project,demonstrating risks are As Low As Reasonably Practicable(ALARP).
  • Organise Bow-Ties workshops, defineSCEs, communicate performance standards requirements, review SCEdesign, manage tracking and review of EPCI assurance tasks, asinstructed by the Principal Engineer, to ensure that safetycritical elements are designed, procured, constructed,commissioned, and installed in accordance with performancestandards for the prevention and mitigation of MAEs.
  • Coordinate and manage risk consultant/subcontractor toensure the risk of the facility is properly assessed in accordancewith the scope of work and methodology, in a timely manner and onbudget.
  • Collect risk assessment input data,review risk assessments, prepare deliverables, review otherdiscipline deliverables, and collaborate with other disciplines anddepartments, as instructed by the Principal Engineer or assignedengineer. Issue accurate deliverables, minimizing mistakes andmaximizing efficiency. Minimise / manage deviations from companystandards, client and regulatory requirements of safety-relatedsystems.
  • Contribute to the achievement ofProject / Engineering Performance Goals defined for the year /project.
  • Collaborate with the proposal /project team, consistently check deliverables for compliance,attend / support audits and resolve non-conformities to deliver aregulatory compliant installation. Minimise non-conformities anddelays to first oil.
  • Communicateprofessionally with the client, provide responses to clientcomments, as instructed by the Principal Engineer, such that theclient is satisfied that hazards are managedappropriately.
  • Collaborate with the projectteam to ensure that changes are managed in accordance with theManagement of Change Procedure and their impact on risk areproperly evaluated.
  • Identify and communicatelessons learnt for improved management of MAHs and projectexecution.
  • Ensure technical competencies aremet and guide the development of process safety engineers toimprove technical competency and soft skills.
  • Comply with Group Policy, Code of Business Conduct andEthics at alltimes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in ProcessSafety engineering in the oil and gas sector for a bachelor'sdegree in Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering, orminimum 6 years of relevant working experience for a master'sdegree, or minimum 12 years of relevant working experience for adiploma holder.
