The Academy is seeking an individual who is:
- Highly motivated and demonstrates initiative in all aspects of their work
- Forward-thinking, able to anticipate long-term challenges and opportunities within curriculum and course administration
- Skilled at balancing immediate operational demands with strategic planning for future educational needs
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and technologies
RESPONSIBILITIES
- administer courses for learning and development, as well as ensure smooth operation and efficient delivery of educational programs to meet learning outcomes, objectives and standards
- execute administrative tasks associated with running courses, including day-to-day issues and course queries, enrolment, communication, scheduling, material preparation, record keeping, pre- and post- course evaluations
- facilitate and provide logistical support for ongoing and new courses, events, seminars and programs
- support ongoing curriculum development and implementation of various formats ranging from in-person, online, hybrid and blended learning options
- contribute to curriculum development by supporting various stakeholders, including architects, consultants, subject matter experts, and educational designers, to evaluate and create engaging and effective learning experiences
- collaborate with various stakeholders in digital production of course content from lesson plans and development of instructional material as micro-learning which are modular and stackable
- assist in website content management and research to compile relevant course resource materials with domain experts and educators, as well as maintain and organize archival of course materials
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- diploma or degree in instructional design, user experience, management, sustainability, architecture or the built environment
- 3-5 years industry working experience in the field of design, sustainability, architecture, built environment, or in the field of training and education
- strong interest in lifelong learning and development, where a certified adult educator would be an added advantage
- good visual communication and graphic presentation software skills
- working knowledge of learning management systems (WizLearn, Canvas), and competent ability to present, facilitate and administer online learning
- working knowledge in media and video editing with animation skills, including operating basic AV system (projectors, mics, etc.) in theatrette
- proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel with fluency in Pivot Tables, virtual conferencing/meeting platforms such as Zoom, authoring software (iSpring, 360 articulate), and open-source applications relevant to course development workflows
- manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively without compromising quality
- valuable team player with capacity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired project goals and timely outcomes
- curious, resourceful person and skilled in critical thinking and problem-solving to meet challenges related to working with diverse teams in fast-paced environments
