Roles & Responsibilities

Canteen Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Canteen Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the canteen, ensuring efficient service delivery, adherence to hygiene and safety standards, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities


• Plan, organise, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the canteen.


• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.


• Manage staff performance, and training, must restrict their personnel from loitering to other locations of the Hotel premises other than specified work areas


• Handle POS operations, and reconciliation of daily takings.


• Ensure kitchen and dining facilities are kept clean, safe, and well maintained.

Requirements


• Proven experience in food service management, catering, or hospitality.


• Knowledge of food hygiene standards, HACCP, and health regulations.


• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Flexibility to work extended hours where required.

Qualifications


• Qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, or related field preferred.


• Certification in Food Hygiene and Safety is mandatory.

Reports To Canteen Manager

Work Conditions


• Based in canteen premises with both kitchen and office oversight.


• Fast-paced environment with peak demand during meal times.
