Roles & Responsibilities

Investment and Financing Director – Data Centre

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and continuously update the company's ex-China investment and financing strategy, ensuring alignment with overall corporate strategic objectives.
  2. Lead and execute various financing projects, including but not limited to: project financing, structured financing, equity financing, and debt financing.
  3. Oversee financial due diligence, valuation, modelling, and transaction negotiations for overseas data center asset or platform acquisitions, mergers, and joint ventures.
  4. Build financial models, conduct detailed investment return analysis, and prepare investment proposals to provide professional recommendations to the Investment Decision Committee.
  5. Establish and maintain strong relationships with international financial institutions, investment banks, law firms, accounting firms, investors, and industry partners.
  6. Monitor and manage the company's foreign exchange and interest rate risks, developing and executing corresponding hedging strategies.
  7. Optimize the capital structure of overseas entities, manage liquidity, and ensure efficient working capital utilization.
  8. Collaborate closely with internal legal, finance, and other teams to ensure the smooth execution and integration of investment and financing projects.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a renowned university domestically or internationally. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA are preferred.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years focused on cross-border investment and financing or project financing.
  3. Proven experience in the data centre, real estate (REITs), telecommunications, or energy sectors, with a successful track record of leading data center investment and financing projects.
  4. In-depth knowledge of end-to-end transaction processes, from initiation and structuring to negotiation and closing. Ability to analyze complex financial data and make well-founded judgments and recommendations.
  5. Prior experience at an international investment bank, private equity firm, international investment department of a large enterprise group, or top-tier consulting firm is preferred.
  6. Understanding of the business model and key performance indicators of the data center industry.
  7. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  8. Fluency in Chinese & English (both written and spoken), with the ability to conduct business negotiations and review legal and financial documents.
