Data Scientist, eDiscovery and Information Governance

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our eDiscovery & Information Governance Legal team. You will enjoy working with some of the richest data sets in the world, cutting edge technology, and the ability to see your insights turned into real world impact.The perfect candidate will have a background in a quantitative or technical field, a perfectionist mentality, and will display clear communication skills.You are focused on accuracy, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in analysing datasets to power and influence business decisions.This is a full time in office role based in Singapore

Data Scientist, eDiscovery and Information Governance Responsibilities

Collaborate with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders (including engineers, data scientists, and attorneys) to understand and identify data needs, understand business problems and design analytical solutions

Design and communicate analytics solutions to help drive understanding across some of the largest data sets in the world

Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operations for allocated areas of ownership

Identify opportunities for process improvements and build tools that enable other teams to automate tasks

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of work experience in data or quantitative field

Experience with SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C, R.)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance

Experience working cross-functionally and communicating technical content to general audiences

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Unix/Linux

Experience with distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)

Experience with Machine Learning to automate tasks, identify patterns, make predictions

MBA or Masters in a technical discipline

PHP experience
