Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee pharmaceutical R&D projects, ensuring timely execution from concept to clinical development.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including formulation, analytical, regulatory, quality, and clinical development.
- Manage project timelines, resources, risks, and budgets while ensuring adherence to milestones and regulatory standards.
- Design and implement research strategies for the development of new chemical and biological entities.
- Evaluate and optimize formulations, drug delivery systems, and product performance.
- Lead troubleshooting, scale-up, and tech transfer to manufacturing.
- Ensure all research activities comply with GLP, GMP, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee preparation of technical documents including INDs, CTDs, and regulatory dossiers for global health authorities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records of all experiments and development work.
- Supervise and mentor junior scientists and research staff, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with external partners, CROs, and academic institutions on co-development or licensing projects.
- Represent R&D in internal and external meetings, including cross-functional strategy discussions.
Requirements:
- Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical R&D, including at least 3 years in a managerial or senior scientist role.
- Strong expertise in drug formulation, analytical development, and regulatory documentation.
- In-depth understanding of ICH, FDA, EMA, and other international regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience in both small molecule and/or biologics development is a plus.
