Job Description:

Our client is a leading construction and engineering firm recognized for delivering high-quality infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects. With a commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability, they serve both public and private sector clients across SEA. They are now seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function across their construction projects. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and budgets.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
  • Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and manage procurement contracts, including T&Cs, pricing structures, and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal regulations, project specifications, and company policies.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams for contract approvals and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Track and report procurement progress and risks; resolve issues affecting supply chain or delivery.
  • Forecast demand and manage inventory levels for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supply chain processes.
  • Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Procore).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
