Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Produce daily P&L reports and perform P&L decomposition, including commentary on significant drivers aligned with desk strategies
  • Monitor new, late, and off-market deals, providing justifications for any exceptions or irregularities
  • Track and investigate discrepancies between reported P&L and trader estimates, including breaches of threshold limits
  • Reconcile monthly P&L between management reports and general ledger; perform GLAO certification of balance sheet accounts
  • Compute room-wide and desk-level reserves, and report key risk and performance indicators (KRIs/KPIs)
  • Identify and drive workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Review and strengthen internal control processes, addressing any gaps
  • Handle ad-hoc queries from Front Office, Risk, Finance, and other internal stakeholders
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to desk operations

Requirements:

1. Degree holder in Accountancy, Banking or Finance is preferred.

2. Knowledge of treasury products, bonds, derivatives (CDS, TRS) and options is preferred.

3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel

4. Strong team player

5. Strong control awareness and inquisitive mindset

6. Ability to relate product control processes with the business strategies and activities of the desks
