Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst (SharePoint Online) will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing SharePoint solutions, and ensuring successful implementation and adoption of SharePoint Online within the organization. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, IT teams, and end-users to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and improve collaboration using SharePoint Online.

Key Responsibilities:Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement using SharePoint Online.
  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions, document user needs, and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Analyze existing SharePoint environments, workflows, and content structures to recommend optimization strategies.
Solution Design & Implementation
  • Design SharePoint Online solutions, including document management systems, intranet portals, and collaboration sites.
  • Work with IT and development teams to configure, customize, and implement SharePoint solutions that align with business goals.
  • Define metadata, taxonomy, content types, and workflows to improve usability and searchability within SharePoint.
  • Assist in migrating content from legacy SharePoint environments or other document management systems to SharePoint Online.
Stakeholder Engagement & Training
  • Act as a bridge between business users and IT teams, ensuring alignment between requirements and technical capabilities.
  • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to support SharePoint adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to end-users and key stakeholders.
Governance & Compliance
  • Establish governance policies for SharePoint Online, including access control, document retention, and security best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards for document management and data security.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years focusing on SharePoint Online.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Experience in workflow automation, document management, and intranet solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
