Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Handle PA system issues and maintenance within the school.
  • Liaise with external vendors for unresolved issues, installation, maintenance, and/or repair works.
  • Provide AV/multimedia technical support for lessons, CCAs, examinations, staff meetings, and school events/functions.
  • Set up and manage AV equipment during school events, exams, and meetings.
  • Maintain inventory and loan records of AV and PA-related equipment; conduct routine checks.Collaborate with the ICT team (ICT Manager/Associate, Desktop Engineers) on AV/multimedia support for staff, students, and Infocomm Club (CCA).
  • Offer technical advice on AV requirements to support teaching, learning, and school activities.
  • Monitor and maintain AV equipment in classrooms and special rooms.
  • Perform termly maintenance and half-yearly preventive maintenance for standard classroom equipment (e.g., projectors, visualizers).
  • Troubleshoot and propose AV solutions; take initiative to explore innovative approaches to AV and broadcast-related issues.
  • Guide and interact with students in managing AV equipment.
  • Support staff in video production using tools such as iMovie, Filmora, and Canva for educational and school-related projects.
  • Assist with basic video editing tasks.

Requirements

  • Relevant certification in audio, video, or media production.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with AV equipment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in broadcasting events.
  • Prior experience (minimum 1 year) working in a school-based environment is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Mondays,Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 7:00 AM – 4:45 PM (inclusive of 45-minute lunch break).
  • No service required on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
