Job Description for Fire Protection Construction Project Engineer/Manager (Singapore)
Role Overview:
Manage fire protection system design, installation, and commissioning for projects in Singapore, ensuring compliance with local regulations, timely delivery, and quality standards.
- Project Planning:Assess site requirements and define project scope.
Prepare budgets, schedules, and obtain necessary approvals. - Design & Procurement:Review fire protection system designs to ensure compliance with SCDF and other regulations.
Manage procurement of materials and vendor contracts. - Construction Management:Supervise installation works, resolve site issues, and ensure quality.
Coordinate with MEP trades and enforce workplace safety standards. - Testing & Commissioning:Oversee testing of sprinklers, hydrants, alarms, and suppression systems.
Rectify deficiencies and prepare all required certifications. - Handover:Conduct final inspections, obtain client sign-off, and deliver documentation.
Address post-handover warranty issues as needed.
Requirement
- Experience in managing fire protection construction projects within Singapore.
- Knowledge of SCDF codes, NFPA standards, and BCA regulations.
- Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication, and project management skills.
- Determined and positive attitude.
