about the job:

This role sits within the regional finance function and plays a key part in advancing the team's data capabilities. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering impactful reporting and analytics solutions tailored to financial stakeholders.

You will work closely with internal finance teams to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions, leveraging tools like Power BI to build dashboards, visual reports, and performance scorecards. A major component of the role involves optimizing and modernizing existing reporting infrastructure and supporting the transition to a centralized reporting environment.

You will also provide technical support and guidance to finance users on best practices, ensure robust data quality controls are in place, and help foster a data-driven culture through user training and knowledge sharing.

skills and experience required:

  • Experience working in a business intelligence or data analytics role, preferably supporting finance teams or financial reporting.
  • Strong technical expertise in Power BI, including data modelling, dashboard creation, and DAX.
  • A good understanding of data architecture and data quality principles.
  • Proven experience in redesigning or migrating legacy reports to modern BI platforms.
  • Ability to understand and interpret business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with large datasets and experience in optimizing data performance and reporting efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights and conduct end-user training.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
