What The Role Is

You will join the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Section under the Unmanned Systems Policy, Regulations and Operations Division. The role of the UAS Section is to develop and implement UAS related policies and regulations.

What You Will Be Working On

Depending on your experience, you will be assigned to work on areas such as UA airworthiness, organisation assessment, UA pilot competency, or Command and Control Link. You are required to carry out regulatory and safety oversight on your area of responsibility. You will be responsible for the review, development, and enhancement of UAS policies and regulations to stay relevant with developments in the UA space. This will involve consulting widely across government agencies, industry, and the public.

What We Are Looking For
  • Trained in engineering with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Involvement in unmanned aircraft operations or related industry is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, analytical, and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Team player with a drive to explore, push boundaries, and encourage change.

Note: The appointment level will depend on your relevant experience. Successful candidates will initially be offered a 3-year contract, with the possibility of permanent placement or renewal.
