About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous 2D/3D MicroStation Drafter to join our client's dedicated engineering team. In this pivotal contract role, you will be instrumental in translating complex engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and models for critical infrastructure projects, including LTA MRT initiatives. You will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers, ensuring all designs adhere to the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to significant, high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute precise 2D and 3D drafting and design work using Bentley MicroStation software, ensuring seamless coordination with various engineering disciplines and services.

Prepare, modify, and meticulously review a variety of technical diagrams, including schematic diagrams, layout plans, sections, and mechanical & electrical (M&E) standard details.

Develop comprehensive 2D and advanced 3D models in strict accordance with client specifications and project requirements.

Create and adapt detailed drawings, ensuring full compliance with LTA MRT project standards and established CAD protocols.

Conduct thorough checks and reviews of drawings and illustrations submitted by consultants and subcontractors, verifying accuracy and adherence to all project standards before final submission.

Proactively identify and clearly communicate any potential technical design challenges or discrepancies to the Engineering Lead.

Maintain close liaison and effective communication with the Engineering Lead and Design Manager on all assigned tasks, ensuring alignment and timely completion.

Manage and maintain the engineering file database, including supplier drawings, consultant/subcontractor drawings, and project as-built drawings, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

Plan and execute drafting and design tasks efficiently to meet stringent project deadlines and submission schedules.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in drafting for engineering or construction projects, with a strong emphasis on Bentley MicroStation software.

Demonstrated proficiency in using MicroStation V8i & Connect Edition software.

Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to accurately interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Robust problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

A strong aptitude for 3D visualization.

Knowledge and experience in drawing isometric views is highly preferred.
