Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced 5G Protocol Stack Manager with a strong background in commercial base station development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with major telecom vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, and ZTE, and will be responsible for leading the design and development of 4G/5G base station L2/L3 software. The role involves managing a team, working with operators to meet their requirements, and ensuring high-quality delivery of base station solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Project Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers in developing commercial 4G/5G L2&L3.
  • Oversee the entire development process, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Requirements & Solution Design:

  • Work with operators to understand their network requirements and lead the team in designing appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet commercial goals and deadlines.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with system architects, developers, and testing teams for smooth execution and delivery.
  • Manage communication with external partners to ensure clear understanding of requirements.

Problem Resolution & Optimization:

  • Oversee troubleshooting and optimization of base station software to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Team Development:

  • Mentor and guide engineers to develop their technical and leadership skills.

Technical Innovation & Strategy:

  • Stay updated on 5G technologies and contribute to strategic planning and innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in telecom, focusing on 5G technologies and base station development.
  • Experience leading teams and managing commercial base station projects.
  • Experience with telecom vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, ZTE is preferred.

Leadership & Management Skills:

  • Strong leadership and project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of 5G base station architecture and L2/L3 protocol stack.
  • Familiarity with 5G protocols (e.g., RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
