Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with experience in implementing and managing Cisco or HPE network devices, firewalls, and security appliances. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network infrastructure, configuration, and troubleshooting. CCNP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Design & Implementation:
  1. Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure using Cisco or HPE networking solutions.
  2. Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Firewall Configuration and Security:
  1. Configure and manage enterprise firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point).
  2. Implement network security protocols, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Network Optimization:
  1. Perform network upgrades, patching, and optimization to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
  1. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  2. Provide support and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking problems.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  1. Maintain up-to-date network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaboration:
  1. Work closely with the IT team, vendors, and external service providers to implement and maintain robust solutions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications:
  1. CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) preferred.
  2. HPE Aruba or equivalent certifications (desirable).
  3. Firewall-related certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA, etc.) are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  1. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and/or HPE network devices.
  2. Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and Layer 2/3 switches.
  3. Familiarity with network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, etc.).
  4. Knowledge of basic network security principles and best practices.
  • Tools and Platforms:
  1. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
  2. Familiarity with ticketing and change management systems.
  • Soft Skills:
  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in network implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA/Fortinet firewalls and enterprise wireless network setups.
