Singapore AMAZON ASIA-PACIFIC RESOURCES PRIVATE LIMITED Full time
Roles & Responsibilities

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

The AWS Global Expansion team is seeking a Global Expansion Manager. In this role you will plan and execute market entry strategy, problem solve for complex initiatives related to geographic expansion, and support with optimising operational efficiency in existing countries. To do so, you will develop corporate entity strategy, driving technical and non-technical cross-functional stakeholders to ensure AWS can continue to operate efficiently and compliantly in new and existing countries. In addition to supporting AWS Infrastructure Services, you will also work across other AWS business lines, including sales, services, and supply chain in response to business needs and regulatory changes.

Our Global Expansion Managers have project management experience, strong judgment, technical aptitude for creating scalable processes, a disposition toward continuous learning, an interest in developing market entry strategies, a passion for navigating ambiguity, and the ability to deep dive across a wide range of topics and stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
Your role responsibilities include:

  • Lead and advise a set of cross-functional teams, including Tax, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, HR, Public Policy, among others, to drive the global expansion of AWS.
  • Execute multiple time-sensitive, large-scale projects to meet business objectives in defined project timeframes.
  • Identify, drive, and develop best practices, technical solutions, process efficiencies, and project workflows.
  • Own project management and problem solving for compliance and risk related issues.

About the team
Diverse Experiences
Amazon values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.
