Market Research and Social Media Intern Job Description - Executive Search Firm
Our executive search firm is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented intern to support our team with market research, social media management, and various ad hoc duties. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in gathering industry intelligence, enhancing our online presence, and providing administrative support to our executive search consultants. This internship offers hands-on experience in the executive recruitment industry with opportunities to develop analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Position OverviewThe Market Research and Social Media Intern will work closely with our executive search team to conduct industry research, manage social media accounts, and support consultants with various administrative tasks. This role provides exposure to the executive search process while developing transferable skills in research, analysis, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively with team members to achieve organizational goals.
Market Research Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive research on target industries, companies, and potential candidates for executive search assignments
- Create detailed market research reports highlighting industry trends, competitive landscapes, and talent pools
- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify patterns and insights that can inform executive search strategies
- Assist in tracking and reporting on market trends to support strategic planning for client engagements6
- Research and present information about potential candidates, including qualifications, career history, and achievements
- Support the screening process for executive candidate resumes and backgrounds
- Utilize industry platforms such as LinkedIn, Pitchbook, and other research tools to gather relevant information
- Assist in planning and managing the firm's social media calendar across platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant channels
- Create engaging content that showcases our firm's expertise, successful placements, and industry insights
- Schedule and post content at strategic times to maximize engagement and visibility
- Monitor social media channels and respond to comments or messages in a timely and professional manner
- Brainstorm creative campaign ideas to enhance the firm's online presence and reach target audiences
- Analyze social media metrics to gauge campaign success and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with team members to develop content that highlights our executive search capabilities and thought leadership
- Support the executive search team with unexpected tasks that require swift action and attention to detail48
- Assist with database management and maintenance, ensuring candidate and client information is accurate and up-to-date
- Help prepare materials for client meetings, candidate interviews, and internal discussions
- Contribute to operational improvement initiatives as needed
- Provide administrative support for time-sensitive projects that emerge during search engagements
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Collaborate with team members across departments to support the firm's overall objectives
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling content and interacting with team members
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with social media platforms
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
- Previous experience or coursework in market research, social media management, or recruitment is a plus but not required
