Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment and banking applications, technology business analysis, and software development with expertise in ETL processes, SQL, and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:Business & Product Analysis
  • Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather requirements and insights.
  • Document Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), use cases in Gherkin format, and visual models.
  • Define test strategy, execute test cases, and provide clarifications during testing phases.
  • Prepare training plans, user manuals, conduct user training, and support system adoption.
IT Solutions & Implementation
  • Analyze and conceptualize IT solutions that align with business needs, collaborating with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Oversee the development of solutions for deal execution, transaction booking (capital calls, cash distributions, invoices), and valuations.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify patterns and support business processes.
  • Present IT solutions to business and technology stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Ensure project delivery remains on track, monitoring progress, risks, and issues while taking corrective actions when necessary.
Project & Agile Methodology Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the product team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Lead Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Coordinate with Front, Middle, and Back Office, extended Technology teams, and industry partners.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in technology business analysis or software development within investment/banking applications.
  • Strong expertise in ETL processes, SQL, APIs, and data analysis.
  • Experience in Product Management and Agile methodology with a strong focus on delivery.
  • Deep understanding of the investment business domain, including financial applications, workflows, UI/UX, and database design.
  • Proven ability to document and analyze business processes, define PLM roadmaps, and drive process excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience in data migrations, system integrations, and IT project management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in model development and pattern recognition.
  • Familiarity with financial software engineering best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with investment banking applications and their middle-to-back-office functionalities.
