Job Description

JobTech is a product start-up looking to solve real world labour problems and deliver the best possible experience to our end users. In this unique role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the company's technology strategy and ensuring it aligns with the business goals. You will lead a talented team of engineers and developers, driving innovation in our products and services while maintaining a strong focus on scalability, security, and reliability.

  • Develop and implement a cohesive technology strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and developers.
  • Drive technological innovation across all departments to enhance our product offerings.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company's information systems and data.
  • Collaborate with other executives to make decisions regarding the company's technological resources.
  • Manage technology budgets and time frames.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in leading and managing a diverse team of engineers and developers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Strong background in software development, with hands-on experience in coding and system design.
  • Deep understanding of modern technology stacks, cloud infrastructure, and scalable architectures.
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing technology strategies to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing the development and deployment of complex software solutions and products.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity principles and practices, ensuring the security and integrity of systems and data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive consensus.
  • Proven ability to manage technology budgets and resources effectively.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to protect sensitive information.
  • Incident Response: Participate in the detection, analysis, and response to security incidents.

  • Data Protection: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of JobTech data.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements related to information security.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other functional departments to ensure cohesive security measures.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and enforce data protection measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest security trends and continuously improve the JobTech's security posture.
