Job Overview:
The Sales Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in overseeing the sales team's daily operations, driving revenue growth, managing customer relationships, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies. The Assistant Manager will help in leading the team, providing guidance, and ensuring targets and goals are met. This role also involves analyzing sales performance, maintaining customer satisfaction, and assisting in the development and implementation of promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Team Support & Supervision:Assist the Sales Manager in leading and motivating the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets.
    Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to sales representatives, ensuring they follow best practices.
    Monitor team performance, track sales activities, and offer constructive feedback.
    Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new sales staff.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation:Help execute sales strategies designed to increase revenue and market share.
    Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement sales plans, objectives, and targets.
    Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects.
    Provide support to resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
    Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns to maintain long-term relationships.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking:Assist in preparing regular sales reports, tracking performance against targets, and presenting data to management.
    Monitor and analyze sales metrics, providing insights to improve sales strategies.
    Help ensure accurate sales forecasting and tracking of customer interactions.
  • Inventory and Order Management:Assist with inventory management and ensure stock levels meet customer demands.
    Coordinate with other departments (e.g., logistics, marketing) to ensure smooth order processing and product delivery.
  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis:Assist in gathering and analyzing competitor data to identify trends and sales opportunities.
    Contribute to market research activities and help identify new business opportunities.
  • Administrative Duties:Handle administrative tasks related to sales operations such as record-keeping, processing sales orders, and managing sales documents.
    Ensure all customer interactions and transactions are logged accurately in the sales database.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales or sales management, preferably in a leadership or assistant managerial role.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
