About the team

The Analytics / AI team is a newly created group focused on building advanced, predictive analytics and AI solutions for our Spend products. This team will empower our customers with tools to forecast expenses, automate payments in any currency, and leverage AI for end-to-end automation of spend. This function will play a vital role in building a predictive-based product suite that sets a new standard in financial management solutions.

What you'll do

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Lead to lead our newly created Analytics / AI engineering function.

In this role, you drive the development of advanced AI, automation and analytics for our Spend products. With deep technical expertise, you'll guide the team to deliver high-quality, data-driven capabilities while fostering cross-regional and cross-departmental collaboration.

This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team to deliver innovative, data and AI-driven solutions.
  • Define and drive the technical roadmap, building scalable and customer-centric products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise and integrate features seamlessly.
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality, secure, and performant solutions with a strong focus on user experience.
  • Own the technical architecture, ensuring systems scale efficiently and handle increasing data volumes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and risks.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including agile development, continuous integration, and automated testing.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 1+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers, ideally in a team lead or engineering manager capacity.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and balance multiple projects effectively.
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset; comfortable working closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Ability to build solid working relationships across teams and with stakeholders, fostering trust and alignment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development and clear, transparent leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with fintech and global payment systems.
