My client (West area) is a world-leading provider of automation technology and innovative solutions for factory automation, process automation, and mobile machinery.

Your new role

They are seeking a talented Optical Systems Designer to create cutting-edge photoelectric sensors that drive innovation. As a key member of their cross-functional team, you'll collaborate with experts in electronics, mechanics, and other disciplines to design, develop, and deliver game-changing optical systems.

Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;

  • Envision and design optical systems that push the boundaries of what's possible
  • Utilize industry-leading optical design software (e.g., ZEMAX, Optical Studio) to craft precise optical systems
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure flawless performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate optical systems with electronic and mechanical components
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across our product lifecycle

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate, should have;

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic/Optoelectronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in optical system design using optical design software
  • Strong foundation in photonic design for optical sensors (plus point)
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven, creative, and eager to learn and grow
