Director - Structured Trade Sector Solution Sales

The job entails driving sales of Structured Trade Products and sector-specific solutions within the regions. The role involves close collaboration with Sector Bankers in AOCB to develop and sell tailored solutions to clients. It is crucial for the growth and management of sector solutions and Structured Trade Products in the region. The incumbent will partner with Sector Bankers and Relationship Managers across Asia Oceania to grasp client needs and market trends, thereby crafting appropriate solutions. Responsibilities include structuring, selling, and implementing these solutions, as well as adapting them for other clients within the same sector. Additionally, the incumbent will coordinate with internal teams such as Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk, Trade Product Management, and GTBD Desks to ensure solutions are effective, risks are mitigated, and the business maintains a competitive edge.
Job Description
- Responsible for the strategy and execution of Sector Solutions and Structured Trade across the Asia & Oceania region.
- Responsible to ensure there are good sector specific solutions available that can be marketed to our clients. Regular interaction with Sector Bankers and RMs to ensure that the Structured Trade products and sector solutions are well understood and the Sector Bankers and RMs and are able market these solutions and grow the business.
- Responsible for understanding the evolving sector specific needs and market changes and aligning and building sector solutions. Responsible for joining the sector bankers calls to understand the client needs, deal pipeline and explaining and ensuring that Transaction Banking value proposition for the sector is understood and being used by sector bankers and RM in client discussions
- Responsible for ensuring that the Sector Solutions are Fit for Purpose and seamlessly working with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk, Treasury and Trade Product Development team towards this. Responsible for maintaining the competitive positioning of the products
- Responsible for growing the Sector P&L through active commercialization of Sector Solutions. Responsible for the Structured Trade Product Profits including that RoRA thresholds are being met.
- Work with FX and Cash teams to ensure cross-sell of FX and Cash along with Trade through product bundling and structuring.
- Responsible to communicating and explaining the sector success stories so that the deals are replicated with other clients and also in other sectors as applicable.
- Support and participate in pitching , structuring and execution of a transaction/ deal. Complete end to end responsibility along with preview , review and approvals with internal memos & credit application AND external transactional and legal documents. Embed quality, accuracy, details in Client’s touchpoints like power points, RFP, Proposals and Pitches
- Assist Product Management / TB Middle Office in various fields like product approvals, product controls and governance and product life-cycle management.
- Monitor changes in Industry, Trading environment, Client needs to spot Risks in the portfolio and Identify new Opportunities.

Requirements
10+ years of relevant trade finance and structuring solutions in various Industries and Sectors.
- Structuring and Transaction experience with strong working knowledge of corporate credit, regulations in ASEAN and SE Asia countries for cross border trade and associated legal risk
- Capability to command a high degree of credibility with the Client Management, TB Sales teams, Credit and Legal team
- Ability to thrive while managing multiple workstreams, deals and transactions
- Managerial experience is not essential but is a plus.
