RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Social Worker works in the field of social work. He/She is qualified and trained to assist in managing interventions and programmes, performing community development work and uplifting the professional practice in social work. He/She guides multi-disciplinary teams to implement and evaluate casework and group work and also organises strategic community development initiatives, programmes and research. He/She serves as a mentor to social workers and supports their professional development. He/She collaborates with other agencies and ministries in the course of his work.

  • Manage cases and supervise a team of workers to ensure smooth delivery of services in accordance to guidelines
  • Continuously review the best practices put in place and enhance according to needs of clients and workers
  • Provide internal training to practitioners, where necessary
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support objectives of the organisation
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Early Childhood, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling or equivalent
OTHER INFORMATION

Relevant Experience

  • At least 4-6 years of experience in the early childhood development or social service sector (including supervisory experience)

  • People-oriented and good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Analytical ability & problem-solving skills to analyse information quickly and accurately, and formulate decisions and make recommendations
  • Ability to be flexible/ creative in devising alternative solutions to issues
  • Committed and can-do attitude
  • Effective report writing skills
  • Team Player
