Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Applies child development knowledge to promote and support the learning and holistic development of the infants and toddlers.
  • Leads in planning and implementing a child – centered intentional programme based on a cyclical process of observation, documentation and evaluation to facilitate children's learning needs and interest in accordance to Early Years Development Framework (EYDF).
  • Establishes and ensures strong partnership with families by communicating and sharing information and knowledge in child development to facilitate the continuity of learning between centre and homes.
  • Complies with government regulations and quality assurance framework.

Requirements:

  • Has Certificate in Infant and Toddler Care and Development (CIT) / Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) / Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
  • Has registered with ECDA and attained the EY1/ EY2 certification
