Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

1. Merchandise Development & Procurement

  • Align with the company's vision to curate an ideal brand and merchandise mix.
  • Source brands through research, fashion showrooms, and analysis of the fashion landscape.
  • Collaborate with partners for seasonal buys in line with business objectives.
  • Handle procurement tasks such as order preparations, projections, and creation of purchase orders on Xilnex.
  • Oversee internal order approvals and coordinate with the finance team for payment procedures.
  • Liaise with the logistics team for inbound shipments.

2. Performance Management and Strategic Planning

  • Monitor OTB planning and the overall buying budget.
  • Implement strategies to meet KPIs for sales targets using tactics like demand forecasting, promotional offers, and sales team training.
  • Optimize sell-through rates by tailoring product offerings, refining stock turnover rates, implementing markdown strategies, and using effective visual merchandising.
  • Enhance vendor relationships and negotiations with informed research, fostering strong ties, and exploring various buying and payment strategies to ensure optimal trade margins.
  • To be aware of sales figures and performance indicators to take product-based measures and brand-based measures accordingly.

3. Launch Coordination & Collaborative Efforts

  • Execute pre-season activities, including launch planning, product allocation, pricing, and merchandise planning.
  • Foster relationships with internal teams, adapting to country-specific nuances and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to boost the sales potential of new collections.

4. Training and Retail Support

  • Provide in-store staff with seasonal product training.
  • Regularly share insights with online and offline sales teams, collecting their feedback.
  • Offer on-ground support at retail stores and customer events when necessary.

Job requirements

  • Diploma/bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Excellent computer skills, in particular, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous, strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • General knowledge of Merchandising, Buying process and strong Product knowledge in fashion
