Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors to ensure the successful execution of project requirements for assigned projects.
  • Oversee pre-contract functions including cost estimation, cost planning and control, preparation of tender documents, value engineering, contract documentation, and other related activities.
  • Supervise post-contract functions such as progress payment valuations, variation valuations, settlement of variation claims with contractors, final account settlement, and other post-contract activities.
  • Act as the Lead Quantity Surveyor (QS) for projects managed by your team, attending client and consultant meetings, as well as other relevant meetings.
  • Provide contractual advice and manage contractual claims.
  • Collaborate with peers from other disciplines throughout the pre-contract and post-contract phases of projects.
  • Assist with bid preparation as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • At least 13 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong background in a consulting firm with a proven track record in major public sector development projects.
  • Familiarity with the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract.
  • Professional membership with SISV and/or RICS is an advantage.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and supervisory skills.
