Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Acts as the Safety Officer of the company.
  • Custodian of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) framework and system; ensure Properties are adhering to the framework.
  • Work with Properties on risk assessments across the departments.
  • Conduct fact-finding after every WSH incident and propose solutions, working through the implementation with the property.
  • Prepare reports, training materials and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) on a regular basis.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to SWPs, SOPs and internal processes across the properties.
  • Be the champion on WSH matters for Far East Hospitality; working with authorities as and when required.
  • Ad-hoc projects as part of the corporate office support function to Properties.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Project Management, Hospitality, Tourism Management / Business or any certification in Workplace Safety.
  • Prior working experience in Hospitality Frontline operations of at least 5 years is preferred.
  • Familiar with Workplace Safety & Health framework and procedures or having attained any WSQ/bizSAFE certifications would be a plus.
  • Able to clearly articulate ideas both orally and writing to various stakeholders in the form of reports, memos, training or SOP documents.
  • Comfortable with conducting training and briefings to the operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
  • Analytical and have a can-do mindset to take on a myriad of tasks and challenges.
  • A team-player, who enjoys working with both Operations and Corporate to achieve common goals.
