Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As an Applications Engineer, you will take charge of the necessary Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineering work to deploy our Eureka Controller to address specific industrial applications. In particular, you will be expected to:

  • Design, prototype, validate, and fabricate custom mechanical components to fit the application, such as: gripper, stabilizer, coupling, workcell, etc.
  • Design, prototype, validate, and document electrical circuits for the application
  • Design, prototype, validate, and document the User Experience and the User Interface for the application
  • Interface Eureka Controller with components (camera, robot, gripper, force sensors, etc.)
  • Develop the full-fledged system on Eureka Controller in close collaboration with Eureka’s Product Team
  • Communicate with mechanical/electrical contractors and integrators to ensure that the designs are executed appropriately and on time
  • Communicate with end-customers at every step to ensure that the system meet customers’ expectations while keeping any additional work to a minimum
  • Install the system on site, including: delivery, calibration, performing User Acceptance Tests, etc.
  • Create the documentation for the system
  • Deliver training to integrators and end-users
  • Perform maintenance on the installed system
  • Feedback to Eureka’s Product Team the pain points and desired features to improve Eureka Controller

Requirements (Minimum)

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Strong skills and extensive hands-on experience in CAD design (Solidworks)
  • Experience debugging, disassembling, modifying and installing mechanical and electrical components on robots
  • Knowledge of programming


Preferred

  • Experience programming in C/C++/Python in Linux environments
  • Experience designing and implementing UI/UX
  • Knowledge of ROS
