Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook short-order menu items, including griddle classics (burgers, sandwiches, eggs, etc.) and fried foods, ensuring consistent quality
- Operate and maintain griddles, fryers, and other kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Assist in the production of high-quality, handcrafted ice creams, and other frozen desserts, following established recipes and techniques.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure proper food storage, dating, and handling in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Work efficiently under pressure to fulfil orders quickly while maintaining high standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including regular cleaning of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ingredient preparation to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff and service staff to ensure a seamless workflow and excellent customer experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a short-order cooking, fast-paced kitchen, or ice cream production role is preferred.
- Food safety level 1 certificate or willingness to take the course.
- Ability to work efficiently on the griddle and fryer while multitasking in a busy environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Willingness to learn and follow ice cream production techniques.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff during peak hours.
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines with precision.
