Reports To: Sous Chef / Head Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team. As a CDP, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards. This role requires a combination of strong culinary technique, attention to detail, and leadership to guide junior kitchen staff and maintain smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee and manage a designated kitchen section (e.g. grill, pastry, sauce, etc.), ensuring timely and high-quality preparation of dishes.


• Supervise and train commis and junior cooks, providing guidance and feedback to ensure consistent performance.


• Ensure proper mise en place is prepared and maintained throughout the shift.


• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards accurately.


• Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu planning, food costing, and inventory control.


• Maintain a high standard of food hygiene and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.


• Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and help with receiving and storing deliveries.


• Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service during busy periods.


• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of your station and equipment.

Requirements:


• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.


• Culinary certification or equivalent is preferred.


• Excellent cooking skills and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.


• Ability to manage a small team and delegate tasks effectively.


• Strong time management and organizational skills.


• Passion for food and commitment to delivering top-quality dishes.


• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
