Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the migration of applications from platforms such as Weblogic/Websphere to JBoss EAP 8.x.
  • Assist with the analysis/refactoring of application code for migration from JBoss 7.x / Weblogic / Websphere to JBoss 8.x using MTA ( Migration Toolkit for Application) or equivalent tools supplied by UOB.
  • Assist on namespace migration from javax to Jakarta and JDK upgrade from Oracle JDK/OpenJDK 8/11/15 to Oracle JDK/OpenJDK 17/21
  • Assist in application's performance tuning and load testing.
  • Assist on configuration of tuning parameters e.g., JVM, OS and network parameters.
  • Assist with troubleshooting or providing feasible advice regarding JBoss JWS (JBoss Web Server) as and when required.
  • Assist on providing recommended architecture and best practices for the subsystem like Elytron, Undertow, Datasources, Messaging, etc. on a best effort basis.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of JBoss EAP on a best effort basis.
  • Operations document for managing and maintaining the application's environment.
  • Provide documentation regarding troubleshooting and other day-to-day operations activities as requested by the customer within the scope of the engagement.
  • Report of incidents and completed work every month.

Requirement

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant position
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certified on JBoss EAP 7.x
