Roles & Responsibilities

This position will be based at NIEC Temasek Polytechnic Campus.


Job Responsibilities

  • Organise / Co-organise outreach events to promote Mother Tongue Language (MTL) and Early Childhood Development & Education (ECDE) course
  • Organise / Co-organise and implement student development programs / events
  • Liaise with Curriculum & Programme Division on development of content and activities for coursework
  • Lead, liaise with and support MTL Lecturers in the teaching and learning of MTL modules
  • Lead, liaise with and support MTL Campus Internship Supervisors (CIS) and MTL centre mentors for MTL Internship
  • Facilitate, monitor and assess students' learning
  • Moderate, process and report results for MTL track modules
  • Oversee any other matter relevant to MTL track

Job Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related post-graduate qualifications
  • Proficient in Malay Language (oral and written)
  • Pedagogical Content Knowledge including specific pedagogical knowledge in Early Childhood and MTL teaching and learning at preschool level
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge and teaching experience in early childhood education
  • Proficient in using technology for teaching and learning
