Duties of Workplace Safety & Health Officer

1.To conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement control measures on compliance to WSHA.

2.To advise Company's management on matters pertaining to occupational safety & health.

3.To co-ordinate with the relevant authorities on safety & health matters.

4.To serve as a Secretary to the Safety Committee & prepare the Monthly Safety Committee Minutes.

5.To lead the Safety Committee Members to conduct monthly safety inspection.

6.To perform regular inspections of work areas.

7.To draw up annual safety action plan for the company.

8.To draw up annual safety inspection plan for the safety committee.

9.To conduct relevant safety training for the Company's employees.

10.To identify training needs of the company based on statistical study.

11.To plan & organize safety awareness & promotional activities.

12.To investigate accident and dangerous occurrence, compile findings and make recommendations for prevention of recurrence.
