Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Risk Management: Guide departments in identifying and mitigating operational risks, ensuring effective risk control across all business processes.
• Policy & Procedure Oversight: Maintain and update policies related to Operational Risk, Fraud Management, and New Product Management, keeping the bank ahead of industry standards.
• Incident Reporting & Mitigation: Collaborate on risk events, identify root causes, and implement actionable solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Outsourcing Risk Management: Lead the risk assessment and due diligence of outsourcing partners, ensuring compliance with MAS guidelines.
• Business Continuity Planning: Support the bank’s business continuity efforts, including regular testing and updates to ensure all functions are covered.
• Internal Audits & Reviews: Conduct independent checks on transactions and monitor Private Banking activities to identify and address any unusual actions.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present risk reports to Senior Management, Head Office, and regulators, showcasing your strategic insights.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in operational risk within a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of MAS guidelines, risk management practices, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
