Roles & Responsibilities

Position: Group Accountant

Responsibilities:

Prepare the group consolidation and management reports on a monthly basis:

  • Handle full spectrum of accounting duties
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly cash forecast and reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Compile financial data from various entities within the group.
  • Consolidate financial statements to provide a comprehensive view of the group's financial performance.
  • Generate management reports to aid in strategic decision-making.

Prepare the Company's reporting package and submit it on a monthly basis:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Compile the necessary financial information to create the company's reporting package.
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all financial reports are accurate and comply with the company's guidelines.
  • Submit the reporting package to the ultimate group, meeting all deadlines.

Oversee the group and company’s financials to ensure the bookkeeping is compliant with Singapore Financial Reporting Standard (SFRS):

  • Monitor and review financial transactions and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with SFRS.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with SFRS.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Compliance and Audit

· Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.

· Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax agents and lawyers to facilitate any regulatory requirements.

· Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management:

  • Perform additional tasks and projects as directed by management.
  • Support various departments with financial insights and expertise.
  • Adapt to new responsibilities as the role evolves.

  • Stay adaptable to changes in job responsibilities as the company grows and evolves.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge to take on new challenges.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency gains within the finance department.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Must have knowledge of group consolidation and relevant work experience.
  • Highly committed with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-driven and proactive with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and communication tools.
