Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced AR/VR Software Engineers to join our research team at the SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Corp Lab*. This role is centered on harnessing Augmented and Virtual Reality technologies to advance simulation training in the aviation sector. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development of VR/AR and AI conversational technologies for the aviation industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of AR/VR UX Design: Implement user experience designs in both AR and VR settings, crafting realistic and engaging AR/VR environments for cabin crew simulation training, thereby enhancing both realism and interactivity in aviation training.
  • AR/VR-based Scenario Development: Utilize your expertise in Unity to design and develop training scenarios in both AR and VR. Your contributions are crucial in creating immersive and interactive environments for cabin crew and passenger simulations, elevating the training experience.
  • Applied AI and AR/VR Research Implementation: Engage in implementing AI research, integrating it with AR/VR technologies to create dynamic and realistic dialogues within simulation scenarios.
  • Usability Studies and Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive usability studies, gather, and analyze data from AR/VR training simulations to evaluate and refine the effectiveness and performance of these training modalities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a specialization in AR/VR, Natural Language Processing, or Human-Computer Interaction.
  • Strong Programming Skills: Proven proficiency in Unity, C#, and Python, with experience in delivering Unity-based AR/VR programs.
  • DevOps Technologies Expertise: Knowledgeable in Docker, Kubernetes, and other DevOps technologies.
  • Azure Cloud Solutions Experience: Familiarity with Azure Cloud Solutions is advantageous.
  • Problem-solving and Innovation: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a creative mindset to develop innovative AR/VR solutions.
