Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage data pipelines, integration workflows, and custom solutions using Talend Data Integration (DI), Talend ESB, and Talend Cloud.
  • Design and implement efficient ETL workflows, ensuring optimal performance and scalability for handling large volumes of data.
  • Lead and manage migration projects from legacy systems like DataStage to Talend, ensuring seamless data transformation and deployment processes.
  • Develop and deploy REST and SOAP APIs for various business requirements, including integration with Salesforce, SAP, and other systems.
  • Work with version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Git-Actions to manage code and deploy data integration solutions using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Configure and manage databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, Snowflake) and perform ETL jobs for data extraction and updates.
  • Provide proactive monitoring, error handling, and troubleshooting, ensuring system stability and optimal performance.
  • Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to understand requirements and ensure quality assurance through thorough documentation (design, unit tests, deployment).
  • Leverage cloud platforms like Amazon S3 and Azure for data storage and processing, ensuring the integration of cloud-based applications with on-prem systems.
  • Guide junior engineers and provide mentorship to junior team members, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with 7 to 10 years of work experience as Software Engineer or System Analyst.
  • At least 5+ years working as a Data Engineer or Talend Developer in enterprise-level data integration projects.
  • Hands-on experience in migrating ETL processes from legacy tools (e.g., DataStage) to Talend.
  • Previous experience in working within industries like insurance, healthcare, logistics, and telecom.
  • Ability to analyze complex data requirements and develop effective solutions that meet business needs.
  • Familiarity with Talend Data Mappers (TDM) for complex data transformations.
  • Experience working with Salesforce, SAP, MDM, and similar systems for integration.
  • Knowledge of message queuing systems like ActiveMQ and integration with messaging platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies.
  • Knowledge of server management, including TAC management and runtime environments.
