Summary Of Company

China Gas International Pte Ltd is the international trading center established by China Gas Holdings Limited in Singapore, in charge of the international trading of mainly LNG and LPG, with the potential to expand to other energy and chemical commodities.


Overview Of Role

Being part of our international trading team at the Singapore office, your key responsibility is to lead China Gas’s LNG international trading team in Asia Pacific, currently including teams in Singapore and Shenzhen, in day-to-day trading activities, to constantly improve the performance including profitability, risk reward, cost effectiveness, system coordination levels and so on. This role requires excellent insights of the market, impeccable trading skills, and excellent teamwork to ensure the company’s profitability and success in the LNG trading market.


Key Responsibilities

· Market Analysis: Monitor global LNG market trends, including supply demand, price movements, and the competitive landscape. Analyze political, economic, and environmental factors to provide actionable insights for informed trading decisions.

· Trading Strategy Development: Develop and implement trading strategies that maximize profitability and optimize trading opportunities; Determine the best times to purchase or sell LNG while adhering to the company’s risk appetite and objectives.

· Trade Execution: Negotiate and execute transactions with counterparties, ensuring that contractual obligations are met, delivery timelines are adhered to, and all trades comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

· Risk Management: Assess and manage trading risks, including market volatility, credit exposure, and operational challenges. Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s interests and maintain financial stability.

· Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, customers, and industry stakeholders to support sustainable business growth.

· Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with regional traders, market analysts, and support teams to share market insights and execute trading activities.

· Business Development: Work with the business development team to identify new market opportunities and explore ways to expand the company’s LNG trading footprint in this increasingly competitive market.


Requirements

· Minimum 5 years of hands-on LNG trading experience.

· Candidates with energy trading experience are preferred.

· Candidates with oil and gas trading experience are preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of China’s natural gas market.

· Familiar with international trade rules and regulations.


Skills and Attributes

· Bachelor's degree or higher in Energy, Business or a related field.

· Exceptional leadership and team management skills, fostering a culture of performance and collaboration.

· Outstanding negotiation skills with strong ability to close complex deals.

· Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with LNG trading.

· Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
