Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is seeking ahighly motivated and passionate Research Associate to coordinateand support a crucial research project investigating universitystudent mental health through the lens of digital health andbehavioral sciences. University student mental health is a growingconcern, and this research project aims to gain valuable insightson the subject matter and potentially develop interventions throughdigital phenotyping and behavioral science approaches. The ResearchAssociate will play a pivotal role in driving the project forwardby coordinating and supporting the management its variousaspects.

Keyresponsibilities:
  • DataCollection Management: Design and manage data collection processes,including setting up and administering various data collectiontools; implement protocols for accurate data collection; adhere toall university policies concerning security, safety, andparticipant confidentiality.
  • ParticipantRecruitment and Management: Assist with project administration,including recruiting and managing research participants; developand implement strategies to promote study participation and achievetarget recruitment goals; and oversee participant follow-upassessments).
  • Data Compliance and Engagement:Monitor daily data compliance rates by participants and takecorrective actions when necessary; and implement strategies tosupport and promote participant engagement throughout the entireproject.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting andCommunication: Support data analysis and data interpretation;prepare reports and other documents for project meetings;participate in regular team meetings and discussions with internaland external stakeholders.
  • Project Operationsand Collaboration: Handle daily operational and administrativetasks associated with the research project; and collaborateeffectively with the project team, both internally andexternally.
  • Travel to different project siteswhen necessary. Perform any other project-related duties assignedby the supervisor.
  • Contribute to thedevelopment of manuscripts and grant proposals to secure fundingfor future researchprojects


Competenciesand requirements:

Qualification
  • Master's degree in a relevant fieldsuch as social science, life science, psychology, anthropology, ora relateddiscipline.


Knowledge andExperience
  • Experience in researchdevelopment.
  • Proven experience in quantitativeresearch methods, and knowledge in qualitative researchmethods.
  • Prior experience with academicpublication processes andreports.


Competencies andSkills
  • Strong organizational, timemanagement, and administrative skills, with the ability to managemultiple tasks efficiently and meetdeadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant researchsoftware and technology.
  • Strong data managementand statistical analysis skills.
  • Excellentwritten and oral communication skills, with the ability tocommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technicalaudiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and acommitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Strongwork ethic and the ability to work independently whilecollaborating effectively with ateam.
