BMS Engineer (Niagara Framework) - 2-year Contract

We are looking for an experienced BMS Engineer with expertise in the Niagara Framework to design, implement, and maintain building management systems (BMS).

This role involves working with HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems to optimize building performance and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong programming, troubleshooting, and technical support skills, and the ability to collaborate with teams to ensure smooth system operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Configuration: Set up and commission BMS equipment, including controllers and sensors, and implement Niagara Framework for control systems.
  • Programming & Customization: Develop and customize applications using Niagara 4 to optimize BMS operations.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve BMS issues and provide ongoing maintenance support.
  • System Optimization: Monitor and ensure efficient operation of HVAC, lighting, and building systems.
  • Documentation: Prepare system documentation, maintenance logs, and performance reports.
  • Project Management: Assist in planning and managing BMS projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specifications.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience with BMS systems and the Niagara Framework.Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, or energy management is a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Niagara 4, programming in JACE, and familiarity with protocols like BACnet and Modbus.
  • Certifications: Niagara Certified Engineer (TCP) or similar certification preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities. Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in building environments, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
